Funny, Thunder Alexander reveals Chet Homgren s "speciality"

Thunder All-Star Shay Gilgers-Alexander's comment on Chet Holmegren after defeating the Pacers in Game 2 of the NBA Finals.

Oklahoma City -- After winning the second game 123-107 and drawing the Finals series 1-1, Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star Shea Gilgers-Alexander highlights Chet Holmgren's ability to rebound. Thunder head coach Mark Degno is confident about Homegren's ability to cope after his poor performance in the first game of the series. For Gilgers Alexander, he knew Chet would play a great game in Game 2.

Gilgers Alexander also talked about Homgren's active offensive approach, which was expected.

"What's special about Chet is that no one criticizes him. He is a very competitive person," said Gilgers-Alexander. "He'll get lost in the competition and that's when he's in his best shape. Now, he'll play and make mistakes like the rest of us. But his intentions, his potential, his skills, and what he can't teach on the basketball court, as long as he keeps that mentality, he's like 99.99% of the time. You don't have to worry about Chet. He'll be that kind of person."

Homegren ended up with 6 points and 6 rebounds in the first game, although he couldn't find the rhythm on both ends of the offense and defense. In the second game, he scored 15 points, 6 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 block. On the offensive end, Homegren showed a hot state at the beginning, making 4 of 5 shots and scoring 9 points of 15 points, including a three-pointer. On the defensive end, Thunder's Chet Homegren defended the inside closely and protected the basket. He limited Pacers All-Star Pacer Siakam's shooting percentage to 3 of 11 shots, including 2 of 7 shots from within the 3-point line. After the Thunder won the second game, Shay Gilgers-Alexander praised him as the "best fan"

Thunder All-Star Shay Gilgers-Alexander said that the Thunder fans helped win in the second game. Fans showed their enthusiastic support in Game 1 of the NBA Finals held in the Paycom Center for the first time in 13 years, and Sunday's victory was the icing on the cake.

After drawing with the Pacers 1-1 in the finals, Gilgers Alexander said the game was of great significance, calling Thunder fans the best in the world.

"It helps. It feels like the whole playoffs, fans have found ways to make themselves more excited every game. I don't know how they did it. It feels special to play in front of them," Gilgers Alexander said. "It makes the away game easier because it's almost not as lively as home. So, they're special. They're the best fans in the world."

Gilgers Alexander and the Thunder will take on their road trip again on Wednesday to face the Pacers' third game.
