Hyland: Dillingham always reminds me of my past self. We all have the energy to admit defeat.

September 30th Timberwolves Media Day, Hyland was interviewed.

Talking about his teammate Dillingham, Heyland said: "He always reminds me of his past self. Although he and I entered the league differently - I played in the rookie season, but he failed to play, I will give him some advice based on my experience of not playing much in the past year and a half. For example, I will say to him: 'Brother, you have to be patient in everything, just strive to make progress by 1% every day. Whether you can play or not, you must train with a positive attitude, be yourself first, and then treat the people around you with kindness, and everything else will naturally be natural."

As I said just now, he really looks like me - we are all good at changing directions, we are both thin, and we all have a sense of unyielding spirit in our bones. To me, he is like a little brother, the kind that can really make me feel protective. When I first joined the team, he was still very anxious and focused on playing basketball. In fact, everyone who loves playing basketball will do this. So I would chat with him every day and set an example for him with my attitude of "even if I don't play, I will insist on high-intensity training." I think it helps him and will make him more mature as he enters his second season. Anyway, I sincerely hope that everything is fine for him. After all, he is like my little brother, and I definitely hope that he will get better and better.
