Jimmy Butler interprets the importance of Stephen Curry to the Warriors in his battle with a hamstring injury.

Many people are worried about how much physical burden the Golden State Warriors will have on the team's best players in the first round of the series against the Houston Rockets. Although Stephen Curry is talented, he is 37 years old and is no longer young. In the Warriors' first game against the Minnesota Timberwolves in the first quarter, he was forced to leave due to a hamstring injury and missed the remaining games.

While the Warriors will be proud of their first game away from home with a score of 99-88, Curry's physical condition and how the 37-year-old superstar's prolonged absence will affect the Warriors' prospects for advancement to the next round.

The Warriors can do is look forward to Curry's MRI results, because Jimmy Butler has fully expressed the importance of Curry's hope for the team to win the championship.

"We want Stephen to come back, I have to tell you. It's hard to play without him. But we have Stephen away and we're here to do what we have to do," Butler said in an interview with TNT TV Lauren Jebala after the game. "Stephen is our best player, and with him, the game will be much easier."

Game 1 of the series was indeed a fierce battle. The Warriors need the whole team to work together to resist the Timberwolves' offense. The Golden State Warriors even had to launch an 11-man rotation to piece together whatever combination they thought would work in order to complete the battle with Curry's hamstring injury.

Hamstring injury is very tricky and it looks like Curry will miss the second game of the Warriors' Warriors' Timberwolves series. But Jimmy Butler and his teammates have enough strength to hold the position and get enough recovery time for their best players. The Warriors must be prepared to face the decline in the Timberwolves' shooting ability

The Timberwolves' shooting poorly in Game 5 of their narrowly defeated the Los Angeles Lakers in the last round, so it's no surprise that they had a poor three-point shot in Game 1 against the Warriors. But they have many talented players in their roster, with only 17.2% of the three-point shooting percentage (5 of 29 shots). The Warriors must show the same resilience as they did in Game 1; they beat the Timberwolves by a 51-41 rebound and forced the latter to make difficult shots multiple times. If they end up without Stephen Curry, then the only chance they want to win the second game is to screw up the game and turn it into a low-scoring boxing match, like two exhausted heavyweights attacking each other unpreparedly in the middle of the 11th round of the ring.
