James is funny at the graduation ceremony of his youngest son Bryce James

10:22pm, 25 May 2025【Basketball】

According to sports media F/W contributor Gautam Varyl. Bryce James shook his head, and LeBron James' antics embarrass him. LeBron James is one of the greatest basketball players of all time, but he is also a typical father who likes to embarrass children. James' youngest son Bryce graduated from Sierra Canyon High School on Thursday, and the Los Angeles Lakers star hilariously embarrassed him at the graduation ceremony.

Bryce just shook his head and laughed out loud at the crowd at SC Stadium. It was a fun moment, and James certainly enjoyed it. "Proud Dad!"

James was not the only one to attend the ceremony, as the whole family celebrated Bryce's happy day. Fortunately for the 17-year-old, none of the others embarrass him as much as his father did. Bryce's mother Savanna posted a heartfelt post on Instagram to congratulate him. "Yesterday we celebrated Bryce James' entry into a new chapter in his life!! Be proud of you and have made great efforts for you. This is just the beginning! Keep working hard to be the absolute best self! Love you more than words can explain, and it's great to see what future expects from you!! I love you brat!!"

Bryce has promised to go to Arizona, and as he enters a new chapter in his exciting life, he will be fully supported by his family. He ended his high school career in a fashionable way, winning a state championship with Sierra Canyon. Bryce hopes to achieve more success at the college level.

LeBron James can wait for Bryce James to enter the NBA and retire again

Although Bryce's basketball journey is still at the beginning, his father's basketball journey is about to end. James just finished his 22nd season in the NBA, but he hasn't left yet. NBA insider Shams Charania reported that LeBron would not retire, adding that he could wait for Bryce. "Does the Bryce James factor really have an impact? It's possible that his son will qualify for the draft next year in 2026, and if he feels Bryce James might be an NBA player sometime next year, will he extend that window? I think that's the only potential warning you can think of to keep LeBron James for more than one year."

James has made history, playing alongside his eldest son, Brownie, who was picked by the Lakers with the 55th overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft. They were the first father-son duo to play together, and it would be quite incredible if Bryce joined them too. As Charania points out, Bryce could enter the NBA as early as next year. You would think James averaged 24.4 points, 7.8 rebounds, 8.2 assists, 1.0 steals and 0.6 blocks in the 2024-25 season and he would have enough gasoline to last for another two seasons. James said in December 2024 that he could play for another 5-7 years at a high level. The 40-year-old also made it clear that just because he can, doesn’t mean he will.
