October 3: The United States Wholesale Mortgage Loan Company (UWM) officially announced that its consumer brand MortgageMatchup will become the new official title sponsor of Phoenix Suns and WNBA team Phoenix Mercury.
The two sides will reach a 10-year, nearly $115 million naming rights cooperation, which is also one of the largest cooperations in the history of the NBA and the WNBA. In addition to hosting NBA and WNBA events, the venue will also host more than 100 sports and entertainment events throughout the year in the future.
It is worth mentioning that UWM is the largest mortgage lender in the United States, and the current president and CEO is Matt Ishbiya, the current Sun and Mercury boss.
