On August 20, the Celtics officially announced that the investment group led by William Chisholm completed the acquisition of the Celtics' majority equity after unanimous approval by the NBA board of directors. This marks the official change of ownership of the star team.
Chisholm Investment Group is led by the Boston Celtics co-holders and board members. Among the members of the board of directors is Mario Ho.
He Youjun said in an interview with Tencent Sports that this investment is hard to come by. I will have more sense of participation and responsibility from a fan to one of the shareholders, and I hope the team can do more and better. He believes that from the perspective of the Chinese market, Celtics have room for improvement in terms of commercial value and number of fans.
