The state suddenly fell to the bottom! Is the stability of the Nuggets forward star really worrying?

In the previous NBA playoff Western Conference semi-finals G6, the Denver Nuggets, who played at home, defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder 119-107. After this game, the Nuggets also stubbornly tied the total score of this round of series to 3-3. Next, both sides need to compete for another spot in the Western Conference Finals through a brutal tiebreak battle.

Although the Nuggets won the game, the team's substitute forward star Peyton Watson's performance is obviously unsatisfactory. Watson played 13 minutes and 53 seconds in the game, 1 of 7 shots, 0 of 2 from outside the three-point line, 2 of 2 free throws, scored 4 points, 3 rebounds, 1 steal and 1 block, and 1 foul, and the plus-negative value was lower than the team's lowest -10. Although Watson doesn't play much, he has gotten a lot of opportunities to play in his limited playing time. As a result, his offensive efficiency is a mess. Whether it's scoring at the basket or shooting from the outside, he can't show his abilities and characteristics. Watson is more positive on the defensive end, but this cannot change the negative impact he has on the team on the offensive end. Watson could be said to have not had the effect it should have in this game at all. Fortunately, the other players of the team performed well enough, and his poor form did not cause a fatal impact or blow to the team.

In the NBA regular season this season, Watson played a total of 68 games in 82 games, averaging 24.4 minutes per game, averaging 8.1 points, 3.4 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 0.7 steals and 1.4 blocks, and 0.8 turnovers and 1.8 fouls, shooting percentage of 47.7%, three-point shooting percentage of 35.3%, and free throw shooting percentage of 69.3%. In the playoffs, Watson averaged 13.8 minutes in the first 13 games, with averaging 4.5 points, 2.8 rebounds, 0.2 assists, 0.8 steals, and 0.6 blocks, 0.5 turnovers and 1.5 fouls, shooting percentage of 45.1%, three-point shooting percentage of 43.8%, and free throw shooting percentage of 50%.

Watson's performance during the playoffs did show a relatively obvious decline compared to the regular season. Watson's scoring ability is really insufficient. His support for the team on the offensive end is really too low, and the competition can be said to be no threat at all. Watson is indeed able to use his advantage in athleticism to cause some trouble for his opponents on the defensive end, but his performance in this regard is not particularly stable. Watson should have done better on the court, and he has the ability to take on more responsibilities on both sides of the offense and defense, but he can't do this in every game. I don’t know if Watson can recover in the next G7.
