Arteta: Neville said Arsenal want to win the title? This is the result we want

. Is this your arrangement, or is it the player's choice?

Both. In the context of Saka's injury, there is no replacement, which opens up opportunities for him. Now that he's more settled, more stable, and more mature, we're seeing him play a lot in both interior positions. That's his biggest threat. I think that’s where he feels most comfortable too.

Kepa, if he plays tomorrow... how would you tell the goalkeepers how the season is going to work? Is David Raya first choice?

I never do that with first choice, I don't do that with any player. I think ultimately they have to earn it themselves. Raya has been outstanding for us over the past few years and Kepa knew that when he arrived. But he's ready to compete. If I had to highlight the behavior and culture in the locker room, I would probably rank him number one. Because he came to a different environment. He had won everything at Chelsea and Real Madrid. He comes here and acts every day as if tomorrow's training session is the most important thing in his life. He'll get a chance to play.

Do you think Raya's current top form is partly due to the competition brought by Kepa?

Yes. I think Kepa has raised the level of the goalkeeping position. He creates a truly great environment for everyone to shine. I think that's all down to him.

You talked a few years ago about substituting goalkeepers during games. Do you still think so? Yes. To be honest, we have encountered a lot of problems recently, and many substitutions are because players cannot complete the game. But, I don't know, maybe someone does.

Would you do this?

Yes, if I feel the need, yes.

Regarding Ben White, he was the absolute main player when he first came...now he spends most of his time on the bench due to injuries. Can you elaborate on his "setback"?

Yeah, it was an injury that kept him out for a few weeks and we had to manage his load and he didn't have the game rhythm to do that. He's in good shape now. He has been training more recently and feels good. He will have playing time.

Looking back, do you regret letting him play with the injury instead of having surgery earlier?

I don’t know. This is more of a medical staff issue. But, obviously, we want to protect our players and we're not going to put them at risk if we know it's going to harm their future. I mean, he can play any game through injury. You really have to ask him repeatedly, are you okay, are you okay? Because he will tell you, he wants to play every game.
