Hupu September 9th: Cesar Azpilicueta debuted as a new Sevilla player this Monday. He expressed his hope to help with his experience during the difficult times the club is in and ensure that despite being 36 years old, he is still ready to compete at the top level.

"My career at Atletico Madrid is over, I have had personal training and have been working with the team until the end of July. The summer has allowed me to relax and if I feel I don't have the ability to come to Sevilla, I won't be here. I feel good since I arrived, and whether I can play depends on the decision of the technical team, but I'm ready," the Spanish veteran said.

"The most important thing is that I see that the planning of the club requires me, not only can I be an important part of the court, I will fight for the starting position, but it is the head coach who makes the decision. I will also work off the court, in daily life, with my teammates, staff... and contribute my experience at the top level and abroad for so many years. Hopefully we will end up being better than we are now. Then from that day on, work hard, improve, train... because that's the only way to get us to the best level in every game," he noted.

The defender can be competent for any position on the back line, which is a big advantage for the Sevilla coach. "I played the right winger in La Liga debut and eventually became a central defender. Who knows, maybe I can be the goalkeeper in the end. I have always regarded this as a very positive point to help the team."
