After Paris advanced to the Champions League final, celebrating fans rushed to the streets to celebrate, but the scene quickly fell into chaos and violence. Videos circulating on social media show fans clashing with policemen wearing riot gear.

Later that night, a car rushed into the crowd near the famous Champs Elysees, causing three people to be injured, and one of them was reportedly seriously injured. All three were taken to the hospital, and one of them was carried away on a stretcher. Subsequently, the vehicle involved was found abandoned on Marcel Avenue and caught fire. A police source said: "This is the worst incident to date. A car appears to have deliberately rushed into the Paris fan crowd. At least three fans were injured, one of whom was seriously injured and the others were knocked away. Subsequently, a group of people chased the vehicle, ignited it and abandoned it on the side street and left." Local media in Paris reported that the number of arrests related to the riots had reached 44.

Although 2,000 Arsenal fans held tickets to the game, thousands of fans still went to Paris to watch the game in various bars.

To deal with the competition, the Paris municipality dispatched 2,000 police officers and military police. But Paris, a city known for its chaos and violence, once again exposed its notoriety on Wednesday night.
