Caicedo, hailed as the "best midfielder in the Premier League" in recent weeks, announced on social media that he is no longer represented by Serra's agent and confirmed that Epic Sports owner Ali Barat is not his agent.

According to the Daily Telegraph, Barratt has never served as Caicedo’s agent and has only provided advice on the Ecuador international’s career.

Caicedo's initial statement that he had "now appointed people he can trust" was later removed to avoid misunderstandings because the statement was not directed at Barratt or Epic Sports.

Given that Caicedo’s contract with Chelsea expires in 2031, with the option to renew for another year, the club is not worried that Caicedo’s decision to change agents will affect his future or situation at Stamford Bridge.

According to sources close to Caicedo, Caicedo is modest and unwilling to publicly make himself the focus. Caicedo is expected to be rewarded with Chelsea wages for his outstanding performances, but the club are not asking him to renew his contract anytime soon.
