Plettenberg revealed that 36-year-old Leedler will serve as the chief scout of Southampton. The two sides have not signed a contract yet and there are still some details that need to be finalized.
Leidler is currently the Hoffenheim U23 echelon lineup planner. Last year, Hoffenheim won the Cup and League championships in the U19 Bundesliga South/Southwest Division. This year, Hoffenheim U23 team won the championship in the Southwest Regional League and upgraded to the German C League. Leedler is the co-founder of the two teams' lineups.
