June 10 ESPN learned that Manchester United prioritizes introducing Brentford striker Mbemo, followed by Portuguese sports forward Yorke.

Although the Red Devils have signed Cunha from Wolves for a transfer fee of £62.5 million, head coach Amorin stressed that the team still needs to strengthen its offensive firepower. Manchester United turned their goal to Brentford striker Mbemo after Drapp signed with Chelsea.

According to ESPN last week, Manchester United has raised their initial offer for the Cameroon international from £55 million to an overall offer of over £60 million, but their negotiations with Brentford have not yet made a breakthrough. It is expected that the two sides will not reach an agreement before the "small summer window" ends (7 p.m. BS. Time on Tuesday). The official summer window will open next Monday, and Manchester United are willing to be patient in Mbemo's trade and they will not be forced to accept prices beyond their valuation. Although the Red Devils are confident in signing Mbemo, they are also paying close attention to Yorke's movements.

27-year-old Swedish international has a termination clause worth 84 million pounds with Portugal. But according to Portuguese media reports, there is an informal agreement between Yorke and Portuguese, and if a team is willing to bid £59 million this summer, he can leave the team.

Arsenal is also interested in Yorke, and Arteta also took a fancy to Leipzig's Sesco. Although there are reports that Manchester United is not actively pursuing Yorke at present, the club highly appreciates his strength. In 2023, Amorin, who coached Portuguese, signed Yorke from Coventry for £20 million, reflecting the coach's favor.

Since joining Portuguese Sports, Yorke has scored 97 goals in 102 games and helped the team win the Portuguese Super League championship for two consecutive seasons. He has also become one of the most sought-after strikers in Europe this summer.
