FIFA expects new version of the Club World Cup to generate $2 billion

Asuncion News: FIFA voted to pass the budget for the new version of the World Club Cup held in the United States this year at the 75th Member Congress held in Asuncion, the capital of Paraguay on the 15th. According to this budget, this Club World Cup will generate US$2 billion (1 USD is approximately RMB 7.2). FIFA said the revenue will be used to reward 32 clubs participating. The champion will receive US$125 million; the prize share of all participating clubs is determined based on the results and market value ranking.

Of this $2 billion revenue, 75% comes from broadcast rights and marketing.

FIFA President Infantino also showed the trophys of this year's Club World Cup, the 2026 World Cup and the 2027 Women's World Cup at the opening ceremony of the conference.

This conference was held in Luke (a suburb of Asuncion), the headquarters of the South American Football Federation, on the 15th. Representatives from 211 member associations from 6 Intercontinental Football Federations attended the meeting.
