May 12th FC United Manchester Club updated its social media updates and posted photos of Cantona wearing the FC United Manchester jersey.
FC United is an English semi-professional club established by fans dissatisfied with Glazer's acquisition of Manchester United. On the 20th anniversary of Glazer's acquisition of Manchester United Club, FC United Social Media posted a photo of Cantona wearing its team's jersey and wrote: "Not all fans and co-owners can come to watch the Phoenix Cup final, but we know they are cheering us all over the world."
"That includes Cantona, thank you, Eric. Like Eric, you can become a co-owner of FC United for only £25."
