Isaac issued a statement: When promises are broken and trust is lost, relationships cannot continue

Hupu, August 19th, Newcastle United striker Isaac issued a statement on his personal social media, explaining why he did not attend the PFA awards ceremony.

The statement is as follows:

I am very proud to be recognized by my peers and selected as the PFA Premier League's Best Team of the Year in the 2024/25 season.

First of all, I want to thank my teammates and everyone at Newcastle United for their support for me along the way.

I did not attend the award ceremony tonight. Given what is happening right now, it is not appropriate to be there.

For a long time, I chose to remain silent while others were speaking out. This silence allows some to push their own version, even though they know that this does not reflect the consensus that has been truly said and reached in closed-door meetings.

The fact is that I have made a promise and the club already knows my position. It is misleading to pretend that these problems have just appeared.
