Lewandowski: 15-year-old Yamal s performance in playing football made me scream that it was impossible. Klopp changed my football career

August 12th Lewandowski reviewed his glorious career and expressed his regrets that he had not competed in the Premier League.

37-year-old Lewandowski has spent a brilliant career with several top European clubs, winning the Champions League title at Bayern Munich and winning the La Liga title twice in Barcelona, where he currently plays. Although he has no plans to retire in the near term, he also admitted that the chance to join the Premier League may have been missed.

In an interview with LiamMacDevitt, Lewandowski said: "Maybe it would be a pity to not be able to play in the Premier League. But when I look back and play at Bayern Munich, Dortmund and now Barcelona, I have to say I am very satisfied with my career. I didn't miss anything because every transfer or decision is what I want."

Lewandowski scored more than 700 goals for the club and the national team, and he is preparing for his 22nd season. Today, he is a veteran in Barcelona's young team, and there are talented players like Yamal in the team. However, the Polish international believes that he still has a lot to contribute.

"When I see that I still don't need to chase the young people, but they need to chase me, it means that next season can be very good too. I'm still showing my best performance there."

Lewandowski's career was already beginning before Yamal was even born. Despite being 19 years older than him, the striker believes he can still learn a lot from young players.

"I realized I couldn't compete with them, but I could help them, and they could help me. I learned a lot from them, which I didn't expect."

Yamar is widely regarded as a future superstar, and Lewandowski said he saw the special thing about the winger when he first practiced with the first team, when he was only 15 years old.

"This is the first time I've seen a player in 50 minutes. I can't believe it because I've never seen a player of this age, and I don't think it's possible."

Lewandowski has worked with several top coaches in his career and is currently working under Frick, who also coached him during his time at Bayern Munich. However, the biggest influence on him was former Liverpool coach Klopp, who worked together at Dortmund.

"When I came to Dortmund, I was still a very young guy and lost my father at the age of 16. I must be a relatively closed person and didn't want to talk about my emotions. However, a few years later I met someone who, although I didn't want to say he was like a father, was very similar. Maybe after so many years, the kind of conversation I missed with my father, I had it. I remember that conversation until now, because it changed my life and changed my football career. I released my emotions and said what I had been hiding in my heart for many years, and then I felt free. Maybe because of this, I started playing better and better."
