Liverpool official: More than £225,000 has been raised for charity projects created under Jota s name

October 7th, Liverpool officially issued a statement saying that fans have raised more than 225,000 pounds of funds by purchasing Jota's seal jerseys and peripheral products, which will be used to fund a grassroots football project commemorating the Jota's brothers.

The official announcement is as follows:

Since the Jota brothers unfortunately passed away in July, fans have expressed their respect for them by printing Jota's name behind the jerseys, or purchasing commemorative T-shirts from club stores.

All profits were donated to the Liverpool Football Club Foundation, the club's official charity dedicated to creating a grassroots football project under Jota's name.

To date, a total of £226,995 has been raised, and the funds will be directly used to build and maintain community plans, with more details being announced in due course.

Liverpool will make other permanent memorials. Thousands of flowers left at Anfield will be composted and used in flower beds at all other venues of the club, including Anfield, AXA Training Center and Melwood Training Center. The remaining items will be recycled by a professional company and used to create permanent memorial sculptures, becoming the focus of future memorials in Anfield. A temporary nostalgic area is retained in the stadium so that visitors can pay tribute to Jota.
