Hupu, August 29th BBC reported that West Ham United coach Porter said that he had "stabilized" the team's situation and firmly believed that the team was not far from returning to the right track.

West Ham United lost to Sunderland and Chelsea in the first two rounds of the new Premier League season, and was then eliminated by Wolves in the League Cup. The successive losses put Porter under tremendous pressure. However, he remained optimistic, believing that the whole team was working together to find a turning point.

"I am an experienced coach and I will do my best to help the players," Porter said before Sunday's match against Nottingham Forest. "Everyone is sad because the preseason is actually very encouraging. But the results are not up to expectations, and we will not avoid that. However, the connection and investment within the team have shown hope. I think we are not far from finding that key performance and victory, which will bring us back on the right track."

"We have done a lot of solid work and have stabilized in many ways. The team's atmosphere is better than before, the team's foundation is stronger, and the club's cohesion is also strengthened. Everything behind the scenes is gradually emerging, even if the current results are not reflected."

West Ham signed Portuguese midfielder Mattus Fernandez from Southampton on Friday for more than £40 million. Porter said the 21-year-old new player will bring a "new dimension" to the team, and hinted that there may be more signing moves before the transfer window closed on Monday. "Everything can happen before the transfer window is closed, and there may be a lot of trades in the final stage. We must always be vigilant and make sure to make the right decision. We must not only introduce players who can improve the team, but also continue to develop the players we already have."

Potter expressed his understanding of the anger of the fans. "Bowen has issued a statement after the game and no one can question his commitment and contribution to the club. But we also understand the frustration and pain of the fans, and we must unite and work hard to move forward."
