Real Madrid successfully defeated Barcelona with a score of 2-1 in the El Clasico match of the 10th round of the La Liga 2025/2026 season at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, Sunday evening, October 26, 2025, Indonesian time.
The game was intense from the start, filled with VAR controversies, canceled penalties and Pedri's red card in overtime. The game also showed the tension on the field, with both teams having a heated confrontation in the final minutes.
This victory puts Alonso's team more firmly at the top of the standings, with 27 points, 5 points more than Barcelona, which remains in second place.
At the same time, this result also extended Madrid's perfect record at the Bernabeu to nine consecutive wins in all competitions.
The following is a detailed report of the Real Madrid vs. Barcelona match.
First half

The game became intense from the beginning. Real Madrid almost got a penalty in the fourth minute when Vinicius Junior was brought down by Lamine Yamar in the penalty area. However, after a VAR review, referee Cesar Soto Grado canceled the decision.
It didn’t take long for Madrid to threaten again through Kylian Mbappe’s actions. The France forward had volleyed past Wojciech Szczesny but his goal was ruled out for offside. Nonetheless, the threat served as a warning to Barcelona's defence.
finally scored the opening goal in the 22nd minute. Jude Bellingham delivered a clinical breakaway pass and Mbappe easily fired the ball into the top right corner. The score became 1-0, with Real Madrid taking the lead.
Barcelona responded quickly. They got results in the 38th minute when Fermín Lopez beat Thibaut Courtois to level 1-1 with Marcus Rashford's cross from the left.
However, Madrid quickly regained the lead. Five minutes later, Vinicius's cross was headed in by Ed Militao, and the ball hit Bellingham. The England midfielder put the ball into the back of the net to give Madrid a 2-1 lead.
The first half of the game was very intense, with both sides having chances, but the 2-1 score remained until the halftime break after six minutes of stoppage time.
Second Half

Barcelona tried to attack early in the second half, but Madrid still showed discipline. In the 49th minute, Madrid again requested a penalty kick because the ball hit Eric Garcia's hand. The referee looked directly at VAR and pointed to the penalty spot.
Kylian Mbappe advanced as the enforcer but Szczesny did well to deny the chance with a save towards the right goal.
After the failed penalty kick, the tension in the game increased. Barcelona launched a quick attack through Lopez and Rashford, but Courtois was solid and held the goal. Meanwhile, the efforts of Vinicius and Rodrigo continued to keep Barcelona's defense busy.
In the last 20 minutes, both coaches made personnel adjustments. A frustrated Vinicius was replaced by Rodrygo, while Alonso brought on Carvajal for Valverde. Barcelona also responded, sending on Araujo and Valdegui to increase the pressure.
The tension reached its peak in the 90+10 minutes. Pedri was shown a second yellow card after a hard tackle on Chuameni and had to leave the field. The incident sparked chaos in the technical area, with even substitutes such as Vinicius and Raphinha involved in the debate.
Madrid successfully maintained its lead when the final whistle blew in the 90th+12th minute. With this result, the Los Blancos won their ninth consecutive home victory and widened the gap with Barcelona in the race for this season's La Liga title.
