TA: Many of Real Madrid’s injured players have returned; the team is extremely dissatisfied with La Liga’s attitude towards overseas games

Hupu News on October 14th TheAthleticUK Real Madrid and the team’s reporter team wrote a weekly report.

What is the current atmosphere at Real Madrid?

The arrival of the international match day also brings some reflections. Despite the 5-2 defeat to Atletico Madrid on September 27, the atmosphere within the club remains positive.

Barcelona suffered a 1-4 away defeat to Sevilla in their last game before the league was suspended, which means that Real Madrid currently leads the La Liga standings by two points. Coupled with the record of winning two games in the Champions League so far, Real Madrid's morale seems to have improved.

However, some sources at Real Madrid's training ground - who chose to remain anonymous as they were not allowed to comment - said that more time is needed to fully implement the plans proposed by Xavi Alonso this season.

Real Madrid’s next game will be an away game against Getafe on Sunday, followed by a home game against Juventus in the Champions League on Wednesday, and a home game against Barcelona in El Clasico next Sunday (October 26).

A lot can still happen ahead of this crucial game (Barcelona and Real Madrid appear to be the only two teams capable of competing for the La Liga title this season, with Atletico Madrid already eight points behind their neighbors), but there is still optimism within the club.

Injuries before the national derby?

Real Madrid's team doctor is optimistic that Dani Carvajal, who has been sidelined since injuring his calf in the loss to Atletico Madrid, and Alexander-Arnold, who injured his hamstring in the game against Marseille on September 16, are both likely to recover in time and be selected for the squad.

Meanwhile, Kylian Mbappe and Franco Mastantono joined the France and Argentina teams respectively due to injuries and ultimately had to return after the first game of the international break.

After examination and a few days of rest, Mbappe's ankle injury seems to have recovered and is expected to participate in the game against Getafe.

Mastantono did not play for Argentina due to a muscle strain. More information about him will be announced at the beginning of this week. The jury is still out.

Dean Huizen suffered a calf injury and is expected to miss the game against Getafe. But Real Madrid are confident that he can participate in El Clasico and will try to prepare him for the Champions League game against Juventus.

What does Real Madrid think of Villarreal’s game against Barcelona being moved to Miami?

Real Madrid have stated publicly (they released a statement on the matter on August 12th) and privately that they object to the game being played in Miami.

They believe that the change of the venue has changed the nature of the game, because Villarreal has lost its home rights, and Barcelona cannot experience the atmosphere they should experience in the away game.

In addition, they also complained that the opinions of all La Liga clubs were not adopted and that there was a lack of communication throughout the process.

What might we have missed last week?

An important figure has resigned from the board of directors of the Youth Training Academy. Abian Perdomo, who joined the club in 2012 and held various positions during his 13 years of service, is no longer in charge of the training and methodology department.

Perdomo enjoys a high reputation within the club and is currently in in-depth negotiations with the Moroccan Football Association, hoping to join its youth team development expert committee.

This is another key move in the talent war between Spain and Morocco, which has been very evident in recent years, with both countries recruiting players who could have played for both countries, such as Lamine Yamal (Spain), Achraf Hakimi (Morocco) and Brahim Diaz (Morocco).
