August 15 TheAthletic reported that Nottingham Forest has negotiated with Ipswich to Hutchinson's transfer and they will pay £37.5 million for the 21-year-old attacking midfielder.

Hutchinson will undergo a medical examination today and there are no problems with personal terms. If the transfer is completed as planned, it will break Nottingham Forest's previous transfer record. Last month, Nottingham Forest signed Endoye from Bologna for £35 million.

Hutchinson made 32 appearances in various competitions last season, contributing 3 goals and 2 assists, but Ipswich ranked 19th in the Premier League and was relegated to the Championship.

Hutchinson played for Chelsea's youth training camp and then entered the Arsenal youth system. He returned to Chelsea in 2022, but only made two appearances for the first team.

The winger was loaned to Ipswich in the 2023-24 season. He made 50 appearances in various competitions that season, including 25 starts, helping Ipswich advance to the Premier League for the first time in 22 years. Last summer, he permanently transferred to Ipswich for £22.5 million, becoming the betting leader in his team's history.
