Several sources confirmed to The Athletic on Wednesday that Amadu Onana was forced to leave the field after being injured during training that day, and he was under a scan on Wednesday afternoon to determine the injury. The Belgian international's injury coincided with similar problems with teammate Bubakar Kamala, who suffered a hamstring injury in Villa's 0-1 loss to Brentford last week and is expected to be out for at least two weeks.

Onana's injury means he will miss Belgium's match against Liechtenstein and Kazakhstan, and coach Rudy Garcia has confirmed the injury of the player. San Giros midfielder Charles Van Hott will replace him for the national team and will go out with Onana's club teammate Tilemans.
