Verona official: Hoffenheim striker Gift Alban joins on loan with buyout option

August 28 Verona officially announced that Hoffenheim striker Gift Orban will join on loan, with the deal with a buyout option.
Orban is 23 years old and joined Norwegian sub-league team Stabek in 2022. In his debut season with Stabek, he helped the team advance to the Norwegian Premier League, scoring 16 goals and delivering seven assists in the process. In January 2023, he went to Belgium to join Ghent. Over the following season, he scored 20 goals and sent two assists.
In 2024, Orban transferred to Lyon, and he scored a total of 5 goals in the Ligue 1 and the French Cup. In the second half of last season, he became a member of Hoffenheim, scoring four goals in 13 games.
