Vice Chairman of West Ham: I hope Porter will lead the team to success, we are working hard to introduce a speed midfielder

In an interview with talkSPORT on Sunday morning local time, Brady said: "I wish I could start over yesterday. This loss is too difficult to accept. For fans, players and head coaches, a 0-3 loss has never been easy to accept, especially in the season opener."

"I spent a lot of time with the head coach and the team during the preseason in the United States. The team atmosphere between them is great. I know they are more disappointed than anyone, and they are definitely the most frustrated people this morning."

Porter's coaching results have been questioned since taking over West Ham United in January. In his 20 games he coached, he only won five games (5 draws and 10 losses), and last season he only led the team to 14th in the Premier League.

"Graham (Potter) is a forward-looking coach. He is able to stay calm under pressure, he is very meticulous in coaching, and is very good at managing players. He has a modern coaching mindset, and all these qualities mean that it takes a certain amount of time to run in a team and let the team play the way you expect it to."

Brady hinted that Porter is not under the pressure of being dismissed at the moment, and the club's senior management still supports him.

"West Ham United is not the kind of club that will panic about coaching problems. We will insist on supporting the coaches and spending hand in hand with them. I sincerely hope he can lead the team to achieve good results. It is a pleasure to work with him, and he is extremely professional. I know that the players respect him very much."

Brady took the initiative to assume part of the responsibility and hinted that the team may have more new players before the transfer window closed on September 1.

"We still have expectations, we know that this is a good team with some strength. But somehow, the team did not show the level they should have in yesterday's game. We were as heartbroken as everyone, but solving the problem is our duty."

When asked directly whether the team needed to add more speed players in the midfield, she answered frankly: "I think anyone knows the answer is yes, and that's exactly what we are trying to do."

Next week, West Ham will face Chelsea at the London Stadium, which will be another serious test for Porter and his team. However, Brady believes that clubs should not be afraid of this "world champion team": "I don't think West Ham United should be afraid of any club.
