Zanetti: Oak Fund wants Inter to return to the top I reject Real Madrid because of Inter s family atmosphere

June 6th, Inter Milan Vice Chairman Zanetti talked about topics such as several of Inter Milan's bosses and his refusal to join Real Madrid back then.

What is the difference between Inter Milan in the Morati era and Inter Milan afterwards?

They are all bosses with different goals, cultures and motivations. Morati was and is a family that was very much in terms of Inter, and then the club was sold to Tohir, an Indonesian businessman who tried to balance the club's financial situation. Then there is Chinese boss Zhang Kangyang. He had strong purchasing power at the beginning and wanted to make a big investment. The boss today is an American fund Oak Group. They have very clear ideas and hope to lead Inter to the top.

Did your role in management change during this period?

Yes, but they all know very well how I belong to Inter clubs.

Serie A is no longer the Serie A of the past...

has been restored, it is already recovering. Now I think the Premier League is the No. 1 league, but Serie A is recovering, thanks to the team's efforts to play great football and has received a lot of attention in international arenas, which will surely benefit a lot of clubs.

Why don't you leave Inter Milan? Did you reject Real Madrid’s invitation in 2001?

This decision is made because you not only have to evaluate the economic conditions, but also take into account how you feel in a place. I always feel comfortable at Inter because I feel the atmosphere of family, which is what I look for and love. So I have always decided to stay at Inter Milan.

Your idol is Bocha (Ricardo Enrique Bogini), who plays for the independent team for life. Is it his role model that makes you decide to play for a club for the rest of your life?

Now a player is no longer playing for just one team. But as an independent team fan, Bocha is undoubtedly a good role model for me.

In today's football world, have you seen any player with similar characteristics to yours?

No. But I like Molina because he plays a guard role with an offensive perspective. I like him because that's what I like to do, because he always thinks about his opponent's goal.
