Congratulations to the Rockets! The All-Star Center has worked hard to train three-pointers and has achieved some results! Will it take the initiative to transform next season?

The Rockets cut off their center Landale, and the Rockets no longer need Landale anymore. After all, Langdale has become the team's third center last season. After Shin Kyung and Adams, even when Smith Jr. became the center, Langdale could only play a substitute for him. But after cutting Langdale, the Rockets lost the outside three-point shooting - after all, although Langdale didn't make many three-pointers last season, his three-point shooting percentage was as high as 42.3%, even much higher than the three-point shooting percentage of space-type inside such as Smith Jr. and Ethan.

Therefore, the layoff of Langdale will not have much impact on the Rockets' inside defense, after all, the Rockets signed Adams and Capela as a supplement. The problem is that neither Capela nor Adams are shooting centers. If Landale is cut, the Rockets' three-point shooting from the outside may be affected to a certain extent. Fortunately, the Rockets also have Ethan, Jeff Green and Smith Jr. who can shoot three-pointers, and the Rockets' main center Alperen Shin-kyung actually has a certain three-point shooting ability. Although his three-point shooting percentage is not high, he can't stand Shin-kyung in addition to practicing physical fitness confrontation every year during the offseason, he has also been practicing three-point shooting and mid-range shooting.

According to previous reports, Shin Kyung will represent Türkiye in this European Championship and strengthen his personal abilities through competitions, which is a good choice for Shin Kyung. In order to play in the European Championships and next season's NBA, Shin Kyung has now returned to his hometown for personal training. From the recent video, it can be seen that Shin Kyung is practicing three-point shooting in the stadium, and his shooting speed is significantly faster than last season.

Even Rockets' team reporter Kelly Iko also talked about Shin Kyung's offseason training in a program. She said Shin Kyung has been practicing three-point shooting this summer, and now he is getting more and more comfortable in shooting three-pointers. We know that although Shin Kyung often made three-pointers last season (24-25 season), he averaged 1.2 three-pointers per game and only made 0.3 goals, with a three-point shooting percentage of only 23.3%. If Shin Kyung-neng increases his three-point shooting percentage to more than 35%, he will further become the top center in the NBA.

Shin Kyung's defense and footwork are indeed much better now than before, but his outside shooting seems to have not improved. In the three years since joining the Rockets, Shen Jing's biggest weakness has not been able to show off his long-range shooting ability, and he cannot compare with space-type insiders like Smith Jr. and Langdale, who have three-point shooting ability. However, from recent reports and videos, it can be seen that Shin Jing also knows his shortcomings, so he practices three-point shooting hard, and now he has gained some results. After all, even the Rockets and the team reporters said that Shin Jing has become more and more skilled in shooting three-pointers.

As long as the All-Star center can continue to pursue three-pointers and insist on practicing three-point shooting, he will take the initiative to transform next season: in addition to scoring at low posts, Shin Kyung can fully cooperate with Capela or Adams. He can pull to the outside as a space-type inside line and shoot three-pointers, and hand over the inside defense to Adams or Capela. In that case, the Rockets will win more games. The 23-year-old Shin Kyung still has huge potential not developed, and three-point shots are one of them.
