Salary Expert: Wizards have 30 million luxury tax space, and there are also middle-class special cases and two transaction special cases

July 20th ESPN reporter Shams Charania reported that Marcus Smart reached a buyout agreement with the Washington Wizards, planning to sign a two-year, $11 million contract with the Los Angeles Lakers after passing a clarification period.

Mei Yossi Gozlan tweeted about the Wizards' current salary situation, laying off Holmes and Smart returned the amount equivalent to a middle-class special case in the buyout contract (a new contract signed with the Lakers). The Wizards are expected to have more than $30 million in luxury tax space.

They have $14.1 million worth of non-tax middle class specials and $13.4 million worth of transaction specials worth of $9.9 million.
