The Lakers continue to pay attention to Wiggins! Rui Hachimura was used to negotiate with the Heat, and the trade value of Brother Zui is still rising.

The Los Angeles Lakers are likely to seek depth reinforcements at the front line before the trade deadline this season. Currently, a forward player with both offense and defense has entered the team's vision. On November 24, NBA reporter Jake Fischer reported that the Lakers have shown interest in Heat forward Wiggins and will continue to pay attention to his developments to see whether Wiggins will eventually be put on the trade shelf.

At the beginning of this season, the Lakers successfully stabilized the situation even though James and Doncic were both absent due to injuries. In the first 15 games, the Lakers achieved a record of 11 wins and 4 losses, ranking third in the Western Conference. Given that the team has the potential to compete for the championship this season, they should join the competition for players like Wiggins.

Wiggins was traded from the Golden State Warriors to the Miami Heat last season as part of the Butler trade. When the Warriors win the championship in 2022, Wiggins is one of the core members of the team and can be called the second key player in the team after Curry.

Considering the lack of depth of high-quality forwards in the Lakers lineup, the addition of Wiggins will be a valuable reinforcement - as a 3D forward, he also has the ability to score independently, and will form a strong combat force when paired with Doncic, James and Reeves.

Although the Heat have not included Wiggins in trade negotiations, Fischer revealed that other teams in the league believe that the Heat will eventually clarify the positioning of the 30-year-old striker - whether it is part of the team's long-term core or a tradable asset.

In the Heat system, Wiggins quietly played one of the most efficient stages of his career. In 15 games played so far this season, he averaged 16.7 points, 4.9 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.1 steals per game, while shooting 36.5% from three-point range. While All-Star guard Herro is recovering from injury, he provides the Heat with scoring ability, matchup defense and space-opening capabilities on the perimeter.

Wiggins is currently in the third year of a four-year, $109 million contract, with a salary of $28.2 million this season and a $30.2 million player option for the 2026-27 season. This mid-range salary gives him high trading flexibility, but if the Heat choose to trade him, it will not be easy to find a replacement. Whether the Heat will give priority to cultivating young players and take into account both timelines, or whether they will fully pursue new All-Star players will directly determine whether Wiggins will stay or go.

As early as this summer, Wiggins' name appeared many times in trade rumors. There were reports in June this year that the Heat had expressed interest in Hachimura and had discussed a trade framework for Wiggins in exchange for Hachimura. Negotiations "entered the next stage" at that time, but eventually stalled because the Heat demanded more chips than Hachimura.

In addition, famous reporter Stein revealed that before the Phoenix Suns traded Durant to the Houston Rockets, Wiggins also appeared in the Suns' trade negotiations. The trade rumors that have appeared many times point to the same fact: the Heat have not actively sold Wiggins, but teams around the league have continued to make inquiries.

At present, the Heat have not released any signals that they want to trade Wiggins. The interest from other teams has actually increased his value and given the Heat more options. If the Heat want to hit star-level players, Wiggins' salary space may become the key; if the Heat choose to adjust the lineup around Adebayor and Herro, Wiggins also fits the team's plan. In any case, the decision on the next trade is in the hands of the Heat, not the Lakers.
