On September 3 local time, during the 2025 Motherland Week Championship held in Augusto Correa, Brazil, goalkeeper Antonio Ederson Dos Santos Sosa (nicknamed "Pique") died at the age of 31 after saving a key penalty in a five-a-side football match.

It is reported that after Pike blocked a crucial penalty with his chest, he stood up and walked a few steps, as if he was about to celebrate with his teammates, but suddenly fell in front of his teammates.
