Chiviol: Actually Arsenal don’t want to let me go, I want to go to a team where I can play stably

October 9th: Kiviol left Arsenal and moved to Porto this summer. He played 68 times with the Gunners in two and a half years. The player recently talked about his situation in an interview with TVPSPORT with the Polish national team.

"I entered the team's starting lineup in the spring and replaced the injured Gabriel as a central defender for eight consecutive games. Before that, my situation was not ideal, so I decided to find a club that would allow me to play regularly rather than occasionally."

Although there are media reports that Arsenal no longer need Chiviol, in fact the club is unwilling to let the player go. Chiviol wanted to leave Arsenal very early, but head coach Arteta valued his ability very much and hoped that he would stay in the team.

"Some reports make me laugh, because the opposite is true. Arsenal was unwilling to let me leave and did not agree to my transfer for a long time. My value as a player and athlete was recognized, and no one wanted me to leave."
