May 21: 24-year-old defender Melvin Bad has performed better in Nice in the past two seasons. French media Nice Morning Post reported that the player may leave the Ligue 1 club.

Bard has played 32 official games for Nice this season, contributing 2 goals and 1 assist. He serves as a left back, left center back and left wingback. The team coach Hayes appreciates his versatility very much. When talking about the 1.73-meter-high player, he said: "He has all the qualities of being a central defender in the three-back system."

"You can arrange high-point players around him to make up for his lack of height. He is not a typical central defender, but he has the qualities I need. He is difficult to break through one-on-one, and can control the ball and take the ball under pressure... He shows real versatility in three positions: left-back, left-wingback and left-center-back."

However, despite helping Nice to qualify for the Champions League qualifiers, Bard may still leave the team this summer. According to the Nice Morning Post, the French national youth team international has recently changed its agent and has attracted the attention of Premier League clubs.

The media also revealed that other players in Nice's team, Guèsand, Baudau, Burca and Rosario, are all expected to leave the team.
