May 13th The Guardian reported that despite poor league performance this season, Manchester United still intends to continue with Amorin as head coach next season, even if they lose to Tottenham in the Europa League final.

club executives believe that the Portuguese coach should have the opportunity to improve the team's roster in this summer's transfer window and sign players who are more suitable for his tactical system. Manchester United currently ranks 16th in the Premier League and has lost 17 games, the worst performance since the 1973-74 season. Amorin succeeded Tenghach as head coach in November last year, but failed to turn the situation around in domestic competitions and was eliminated by Fulham and Tottenham in the FA Cup and the League Cup respectively.

Europa League has brought some hope to this bleak season and they will qualify for the Champions League if Manchester United beat Tottenham on May 21. However, after losing 0-2 to West Ham on Sunday at home, Amorin seemed very frustrated, suggesting he might choose to leave if his results did not improve.
