Henry: Pedri looks at the game differently; he is much like Laudrupp

Hupu September 20th Henry still maintains close ties with Barcelona after retirement for many years. The French legend of Arsenal and Barcelona used his status as a commentator on CBS Sports Golazo programming to commend Spanish midfielder Pedri for his well-received performance in the match after Barcelona beat Newcastle 2-1 in the first round of the Champions League.

"Pedri looks at the game differently. If you touch that ball, Pedri will say to you, 'Don't touch that ball, don't do that.' If you move something, he will say, 'Why are you moving it? Don't touch my stuff,'" The Frenchman emphasized the Canary player's leadership in the team and his understanding of football.

He also wanted to add a concept that Guardiola emphasized to praise Pedri: "He looks at the game very differently. If we think about it, as Guardiola himself said before, any player who enjoys assists and plays for others is what we call a real midfielder, and Pedri is such a player."

Finally he compared Pedri to another former Barcelona player, Danish legend: "Pedri is the most Laudrup player," he concluded.
