Sun: Giggs leaves Salford City and he hopes to return to coaching position

September 20th The Sun reported that Manchester United legend Giggs left Salford City and he hoped to return to his coaching position.
Giggs previously served as football director at the English League Two club and also assisted coach Carl Robinson on game day. But The Sun learned that Giggs will no longer participate in the daily operations of Salford City.
Giggs, 51, once coached Wales and led the team to the finals of the 2020 European Cup. However, he was arrested for suspected attacks in November 2020, and eventually failed to lead the team to the finals. The subsequent jury failed to reach a ruling on the assault charges and coercive behavior charges, and the retrial process was forced to be suspended due to the resumption of his ex-girlfriend Kate Greville.
After being replaced by Robert Page, Giggs admitted that he was heartbroken to fail to lead the team to participate in the European Cup. In an interview in January this year, he said: "I enjoyed the experience of coaching Wales and finally hope to return to the head coach position. I will still feel unprecedented excitement on the game day."
In May this year, a new consortium led by Beckham and Gary Neville completed the acquisition of Salford City, and Giggs and 92-class members Nicky Butt, Scholes and Phil Neville all withdrew from the shareholders.
Despite winning 13 Premier League trophys at Old Trafford, Giggs was nominated for the Premier League Hall of Fame again this month. Last Saturday, after Troy Deni, a columnist of the Sun, criticized the selection mechanism, the Premier League officially announced that it would reform the voting system, and the final decision will be transferred from fans to current Hall of Fame members in the future.
Giggs' former teammates Gary Neville, Evra, Carrick and Sheringham were all included in the nomination list for this year.
