Hiller: Chelsea is not ready to compete for the Premier League championship, and the investment of over 1 billion pounds is incredible

October 4th, English football legend Alan Shearer wrote an article in a column, talking about topics such as Chelsea and Newcastle.

After spending more than £1 billion, is Chelsea ready to compete for the championship?

I think Chelsea is a football club that is very different from any other club. They do things very differently, and once you sign with Chelsea, you know the rules. Basically, you can't lose three games in a row. That's why this weekend is crucial to them. You know the pressure you are under and you know the labels that come with being a Chelsea head coach.

As for their spending over £1bn, I don't think they're ready to challenge the Premier League title, which is incredible considering their investment. I still think they need a goalkeeper, a central defender and a forward. I still think they are understaffed in the three most important positions on the court. The club operates very differently than anywhere else.

Newcastle has a bad start this season. Is head coach Eddie Howe under pressure?

Eddie Howe has no pressure, no at all. It is understandable that Newcastle has a poor start in the Premier League this season. The chaos they had to deal with in the summer was not their own fault. That put them in a very difficult situation, and they are still trying to recover from it.

With that being said, Wednesday's Champions League victory hopes to be a catalyst for cheering them up. That's exactly what they need, a great performance and a lot of goals. No matter what level it is, it is not easy to challenge any team away and play that way. Especially because San Giros United won the first game. Ellanga, Waltermad and Gordon are catalysts and the source of all Newcastle's outstanding performance.

I really hope this helps their league form and they have a good chance of facing the poor Nottingham Forest at St James Park. I hope they can start to work hard now.

Waltermad has scored three goals in a short period of time when he joined the team. He scored goals in his Premier League debut and his Champions League first start, so yes, he had a very good start and looked in a good form. Don't forget that Newcastle has Visa to come back after international competitions. Newcastle is very strong. Their frontcourt six was excellent.

How do you think of Ryan Reynolds and Tom Brady investing in football?

I guess Ryan Reynolds and Tom Brady are chasing their Premier League dreams. They are eyeing big soccer clubs like Wrexham and Birmingham, trying to pursue their dreams of entering the Promised Land. Of course, in Ryan Reynolds' view, they were closer to this goal than they thought.

They are not far away now, and although I don't think they will upgrade this season, they all want to share a Premier League soup, because no matter where you are, the Premier League is extraordinary. I was in Kansas City last weekend and people reacted to the Premier League like you had never seen before. It's simply overwhelming. So that's what they all want, they see on TV, they're all very rich and want to invest and get a share of the pie.

I do think both of them will enter the Premier League in the near future. How to bypass the Profit and Sustainable Development Rules (PSR) is another matter if they continue to invest as they are now, but they look at clubs that have been wandering but have history, large scale and great potential for development in their areas, both Birmingham and Wrexham. There are opportunities to make them bigger and also opportunities to realize their wishes and enter the Premier League.
