reported on July 5 that Manchester City's official website had a goodbye to Kyle Walker.

Manchester City's official website wrote: Kyle Walker will join Burnley to end his glorious eight-year journey at Manchester City. The England defender had experienced the most successful era in club history while playing at the Etihad Stadium, scoring 6 goals in 319 appearances in various competitions and loaned to AC Milan in the second half of the 2024-25 season.

After transferring to Manchester City from Tottenham Hotspur in July 2017, Walker quickly became a core member of the dynamic innovation team under Guardiola. With his amazing speed, excellent vision and superb skills, he gradually established his position as the world's top full-back and became a model of stability.

After being elected as captain by his teammates at the beginning of the 2023-24 season, Walker led the team to achieve an unprecedented four-game winning streak in the Premier League, and won the 2023 European Super Cup and Club World Cup trophy. During this period, Guardiola's Manchester City became the first English club to win five top honors in a single year, including the Premier League, the FA Cup, the Champions League, the European Super League and the Club World Cup.

In a total of seven and a half seasons, Walker won 18 important championships: 6 Premier League, 2 FA Cups, 4 League Cups, 2 Community Shields, 1 UEFA Champions League, 1 UEFA Super League Cup and 1 Club World Cup. His outstanding performance made him three times selected for the PFA Premier League's Best Team of the Year (2017, 2018, 2024), and was shortlisted for the 2023 FIFA's Best Team of the Year and Best Team of the Champions League, and won the 2023 Club World Cup Silver Ball Award. At the national team level, the 34-year-old Walker has played 96 games for England, participated in the 2018 and 2022 World Cups, and helped the Three Lions to enter the 2020 and 2024 European Cup finals as the vice captain, and was selected for the Best Team of the European Championships for two consecutive times.

All members of Manchester City wish Walker a smooth new chapter in his career.
