Van Dijk: Those goals we conceded were too easy, everyone is responsible

"We conceded too many easy goals. Obviously, they scored again from set pieces. You might question whether the goal scorer was in front of Alisson, but the goal worked and we fell 1-0 down. We didn't perform well in terms of fighting, confrontation and fighting spirit, and the pace was too hasty. It's a very difficult situation at the moment.

"There was tension in the team after conceding the goal, but not before. We try to rush things, which is human nature when we get stuck. Although some crises were resolved before, it eventually fell into a very passive situation. You can’t get out of this just by talking, it takes a lot of hard work.

"This is a problem. Everyone in the team has to take responsibility, football is a team sport and everyone has a responsibility. We have to accept this result and face it calmly. We need to train harder and have to persevere.

"Everyone is disappointed, and that should be the case - losing to Nottingham Forest at home, in my opinion is very bad. That's the mildest way to put it. Those goals we conceded were too easy and we all have to reflect on ourselves. I've been at this club for a long time, we've been through adversity and we'll bounce back, but it doesn't happen overnight. I am not someone who gives up easily and we will continue to persevere.

"I can't decide whether the fans leave early. I know the fans have been with us through thick and thin, and when we come out of this difficult time, they will still support us because we will get through it."
