Recommended Network reported on May 3 that Napoli coach Conte highly praised Inter Milan's performance in the Champions League in a recent interview, and was also proud of Napoli's achievements this season.
Currently, Napoli tops the list with 74 points in the Serie A, leading fifth place by 13 points, and locking in the Champions League qualification for next season four rounds ahead of schedule. Conte said: "We have been carrying a huge sense of responsibility since the first day of the season. At the beginning of the season, our main goal was to qualify for the Champions League, and we have achieved this goal ahead of schedule. The Champions League is of extremely important economic significance for all clubs."
Conte also mentioned that another goal of Naples is to cause trouble for its competitors, and they have also succeeded in doing this. Currently, Napoli leads second place Inter Milan by 3 points, but Conte stresses that the team must remain modest and united, as there are four rounds left in the league and anything can happen. He reminded players to be down-to-earth and not to relax their guards because of their current lead.
When talking about Inter Milan, Conte praised: "Inter Milan's performance in the Champions League was excellent. They drew Barcelona 3-3 away in the first leg of the semi-finals. This performance must be praised. As the representative of Italian football, Inter Milan showed the high level of Italian football in the international arena. This also indirectly shows that Napoli is doing something extraordinary."
Naples' performance this season is undoubtedly eye-catching. They not only locked in the Champions League qualification in advance, but also led the league and moved towards higher goals. Conte's team is demonstrating with practical actions that they have the ability to make history in the highly competitive Serie A.
